Twitter is going to release an update on Dec 3rd for iPhone users and the week after for Android users to monitor the apps you use. According to Mashable: “The feature, which Twitter is calling “app graph,” will also be used to personalize the content that appears in users’ timeline from accounts they don’t follow.”
So what do Twitter hope to gain from this? They hope to provide users with a more “tailored experience” so that you basically see more of the things that interest you.
Don’t like where this is going? Don’t worry, once the update goes live, you will be opted in automatically, but you can also then manually opt out.
What do you think of the update? Is this something you think will come in handy or will be more of a nuisance?
